Enameling is an ancient process of fusing powdered glass to copper. In this one-day workshop, students will explore the possibilities of enamel by making samples, pendants, and/or decorative shallow dishes. Scratch It and Pack It focuses on the illustrative technique, sgraffito, where drawings, marks, or designs are made through scratching and scraping a surface. Students will use sgraffito to create enameled pieces with layered colors and eye-catching details.
