In this workshop running over three 2.5 hour evening sessions, traditional steel forging and forming techniques are explored as well as contemporary ways to texture and form copper sheet. We will cover, forging a taper, using a jig, riveting, annealing, upsetting, texturing and forming copper with hammers and punches. Our steel and copper elements once forged and formed will be rivetted together creating an elegant tea light holder. As the days shorten and temperatures dip, what could be more delightful than a cosy candlelit evening.
