J.A.M. Sessions is the Metal Museum's after-school program for high school students interested in creating jewelry and fine metal art. Students meet once a week after school on Wednesdays during the academic semester. Together with Metal Studios and Education staff, students create jewelry and fine metal artworks while exploring pathways to creative careers.
Students will learn fine metalsmithing skills used by artists and jewelry industry professionals alike, including sawing, filing, texturing, soldering, forming, stone setting, and cold connections, as well as small business basics including quality control, pricing, simple product photography, and portfolio building.
FAQ

What if I can’t attend every single week?

Is it safe to work with metal?
Yes, when done correctly. You’ll be trained, supervised, and provided PPE. Safety is our top priority.
Can I sell my artwork?
